Words of Wisdom from Winston Churchill

" Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever- ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb."          - Winston S, Churchill, "Painting as a pastime.", Thoughts and Adventures

When someone tells you 'don't look' or 'no peeking' what's the first thing you want to do? LOOK! PEEK! If only for a second we as humans have a desire to go against what others say even if it is simply peeking when told not to. The same outcome occurs when you're told you can't do something or you'll never finish that. We in return work our butts off to finish the task. We do anything and everything we can to prove that person wrong.
Humans don't accept defeat very easily. We will try and try and try tell we 'win' or get the results we wanted. We tend to over do it sometimes in the process of meeting our goal. We are very determined by negativity. If someone tell you 'no' you want to do or say whatever you were told not to. When told 'you'll never make it' you try even harder just so you can throw it in their face.

Post 9 Dig Into Your Beliefs

Duty to one's family is more important than personal success.

I have mixed feeling about this statement. I can see it go both ways. I agree that family is very important but so is personal success. I disagree that you should put yourself before your family, in less they are pulling you down. I think it's one of those things where you have to see what that situation is like before you agree or disagree.

1) I agree, your duty to your family is more important than personal success.
When something happens to a family members you are expected to be there for them, not be at work because you think this project will fix all you problems. You normally drop what you're doing and go help out in what ever way you can. For example, when my mom was in a car accident my grandmother left work then and there to go to the hospital, my grandfather pick me and sister up from school when he could have been making about 3,000 dollars on a car sale and my aunt left work without a word to come to the hospital. They all gave up their job in that moment to help my mother. later when they went back to work my grandmother was scolded, my grandfather lost the deal and my aunt was almost fired but they didn't care because it was family.

2) I disagree, your duty to your family is NOT more important than personal success.
If your family is always pulling you away from work for little things then they don't care about your success. Some time a family will openly say they don't think you can do it or you'll never make it to the top and when they say that then you know you need to step back and rethink how you live your life. It's one think to need you to leave work cause a family member is in the hospital but if they need you to leave work to go pick something up from the grocery store because they don't want to leave the house then there's a problem. For example, I just started selling Mary Kay and when I was thinking about it my grandparents kept saying things like "are you should you can do it?" "Make sure you still have time for what we need you to do." and a couple other things. But they were more worried if i'd have time for when they needed then what I needed.

Family is a tricky thing, When you need them they're normally there for you but sometimes all they can think of is their selves.

People collect things like beer mugs, ceramic dolls, and owls because it reminds them of someone or something from their past. By collect these little things it keeps the memory of the bigger picture alive. For example I collect stuffed animals, I have like 85 of them; I had more but last time I moved I couldn't bring them all due to complications. The big picture I am trying to remember is a happy childhood, though it was small it's all I have to hold on too. Its not all of my childhood I'm trying to remember its from birth up to the age of 5, after that an event occurred that sent my world spinning. (I won't go in to detail because this is the internet, but if asked in person I will tell you. The event should never have happened in the first place and I've only just recently, last year or so, gotten past it.)  When I look at my stuffed animals, even if just for a moment, I'm a kid again with no cares in the world just laughing and playing with my mom having a concert for my stuffed animals.

Post 3: Specifies

Writers

Defined as - a person who has written a particular text.

But to be more specific, what is a writer?

First - A writer is a person able to use words as an extension of themselves.
  • When they write they can make their reader see what they were picturing in their minds
  • They can make you feel emotions from just a couple words
  • They allow you to go places without leaving the comfort of your own home

A writer will spend their whole life researching data for their works be it fictional or non-fictional.
  • They pull all-nighters just to do research for a paper or an article
  • Sometimes they spend hours in the library looking through book after book about one topic just to see all the different sides of it
  • They research in all sorts of ways be it books, articles, people, computers, off their phones and many other way

They surround themselves with their work. They connect their work to everyday things.
  • They'll see someone on the street and connect them to their work

Post 2: Get Mad!

A list of the little things that annoy me-

  • The fact they don't have a ''my kid graduate high school with out getting pregnant' bumper stickers
  • Birds that start singing at like 6 in the morning
  • People that drive around you just to go like 10 under the speed limit
  • The noise of spoons or forks hitting a plate when people eat
  • New parents who think they can still go out partying

Okay, lets talk birds. These evil little feathered creatures that think 'oh well i'm awake I minus well wake everyone in the flipping neighborhood.; I mean come on! Seriously! I know I have to get up, so don't wake me 30 minutes before my alarm goes off!! And its not just one bird. The Whole Flipping Bird Species Has To Join In Too!!! Monday's I have to get up at 7 and help around the house and with my nephew, who's 3 years old (you know that age where he's your alarm clock), and then go to my class at 11. I DO NOT NEED TO BE UP AN HOUR EARLY! Just because the baka of a bird has to let its voice be heard. I mean i'm all for speaking up for stuff but the birds just do it to wake us up. I'm serious, if you start yelling at a bird it yells back at you! They are evil little feathered creatures who fly and have the most annoying voice on the planet!

Post 1: Confession Time; Kono yoi no watashi no warui kusedesu

"kono yoi no watashi no warui kusedesu"
Good afternoon, this is my bad habit.

One of the worst bad habits I ever had was my addiction to Anime. Anime is Japanese cartoons that come on at 12 o'clock at night and doesn't go off till 3:30 in the morning. I would stay up all night on schools nights and go into school just to end up asleep in my first class. It started in my last year of elementary school and slowed down my junior year of high school.
My mom would go to bed hearing me say "I'm gonna finish my homework then go to bed, love you. Good Night." When in reality I was thinking 'I'm gonna keep my books out for another 30 minutes in case she gets up and turn the TV on Adult Swim.' Adult Swim is a very 'adult' show that would play different animes each night on a regular bases and I learned the timing so well that I was able to turn the TV on right when the Anime started.
It got to the point that my friends knew the schedule almost as good as I did for which shows were on. Some of them worried I wasn't getting enough sleep and would help me rest in class, by pairing up with me or letting me copy notes. In the end I knew I had to change something because my grades were slipping and I got my first C in English. The one class I always passed with flying colors was now my lowest grade. My teacher asked to to stay after class one day because she was worried about me. I told her I was fine that I had some personal problems to deal with and that by the time we got our report cards I would have an A again.
I then asked my friends for help. I told them to text me as late as they could to check if I was up watching the anime shows and if I was t threaten to call my mom and tell her, ya the 'i'm telling your mom' may be old but hey she brought me into this world and she's not afraid of taking me out. Next I told my friends to make sure I stay awake in class and take my own notes. I knew if I took my own notes I'd be able to stay awake due to my strange way of note taking, I have never used a pencil to take notes, like eve, it's always pens and highlighters, I find it easier to remember everything if it's in color.
By the time we got our Report Cards I had an A. Some of my other grade even went up. My teacher was proud of me and so was I. I don't watch it nearly as much now, thou I have a 3 year old living with me to make it that much harder, but nonetheless I've calmed down. Every so often I will stay up on Saturday to watch it a little. It's been a very long time since I've watched it all but I'll catch one or two shows. Anime is still a part of my life but it's not as big a piece.
...now I may need to slow down on my reading of Mangas,Japanese graphic novels, but who know I guess we'll see.
